Whats On

Changing Minds Kent joined the country to host a Time to Talk coffee morning. Time to talk day is all about bringing together the right ingredients to have a conversation about mental health. The morning focused on talking about mental health problems and breaking down those barriers. Some Thanet residents wrote specific feelings/statements about different mental health problems on our tablecloths provoking some interesting talking points.

We were also joined by One You Kent,  who were carrying out health checks as people with severe mental illness die on average 15 to 20 years earlier than the general population, with higher prevalence of obesity, diabetes, stroke and heart failure.
Mental health affects one in four of us yet people are still afraid to talk about it. For people with mental health problems not being able to talk about it can be one of the worst parts of the illness. Too many people right now who are struggling with their mental health are made to feel isolated, worthless and ashamed. At Changing  Minds Kent we continue to encourage people to talk about mental health problems and we celebrate people’s individualities.

Thanet Charity Of The Year 2019!!!!

We are so honoured to have been chosen by Thanet Extra as their charity of the year!
It’s been an amazing first year and we can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us and the people we support!
Thank you so much to everyone who nominated us and to the Thanet Extra for choosing us, it really does mean the world.

We had an excellent time at this year’s KM Charity Team Forum at Maidstone. Changing Minds Kent received a Gold Award!

After weeks of hard work and producing some amazing pieces, our over 50s art group displayed their works at Kings Gallery Margate. Big thank you to Ageless Thanet for working with us to make this possible. Check out our Facebook page for more photos.

We have teamed up with Thanet Writers who will be delivering some fantastic workshops on the 11th August 2018

We had an excellent  fundraiser on Saturday 28th July at the Australian Arms in Ramsgate! It was a beach themed event with a BBQ and loads of fun & games on offer!

Thank you so much to Reanimation Design for contributing their time to making the poster for us!

We did it!!! We completed the KM Colour run in June 2018 and it was a great fun day. Thanks to all the people that supported us and made it happen.
